Trainers and skater slip-ons

Now the weather is warming up, we can start to think about footwear other than boots to wear out and about. As Mums who are on the move continually, trainers and skater slip-ons are a great option which as well as being practical can also add a bit of an edge to an outfit. Here are our top picks.

 1. Nine West silver slip-ons £69.00 – I bought a pair of silver slip-ons last year similar to this and found I got so much wear out of them. They have already had a few outings this year when the sun has made an appearance.

2. Alia B Snakeskin Loafer £135.00 – snakeskin seems to be overtaking leopard print in the trainer stakes this season. Just as easy to style up or down as last year’s animal print of choice.

3. Next Shimmer Skater Shoe £26.00 – I am always impressed with Next’s shoes. These are very similar to Ash trainers but at a fabulous price.

4. Converse All Star Low trainer £44.99 – most of us have a pair somewhere in our wardrobes, don’t we? A classic and available in so many different colour ways. The only thing I would say is that I do prefer a leather trainer but its a personal choice!

5. Ash Virgin leather trainers £129.00 – between us Katie and I own a few pairs. The leather is buttery soft and we have definitely got our wear out of them. Available in a variety of neutral colours but I have got the most wear out of the “Perkish” colour – a warm taupe/grey.

6. Nike Air Zoom trainer £85.00 – Before the boys arrived I used to run (when I say run, jog….slowly) around Hyde Park in my lunch break and I loved it. If tempted to take up running again these trainers would certainly help – you’d definitely see me coming towards you…in a plodding manner!

7. Adidas Stan Smiths £65.00 – I love these trainers! I find them so comfortable yet simple, stylish and understated. Easy to wear with most outfits they bring to them a cool, casual look.
