We first discovered Wyse London Cashmere at one of the “Spirit” Fairs held at London Olympia. We were drawn to the neon flashes of colour and hints of sequin embellishment peaking out from the rails of cashmere loveliness. Georgie has since been an avid fan increasing her collection of pieces. The founder, Marielle Wyse, has an eye for making cashmere more modern than your everyday piece you would find on the highstreet, yet her prices compete brilliantly with well known labels. Her style reminds us of the very covetable Chinti & Parker but with a more purse-friendly price without losing out on style or substance in the range.
We were kindly sent one of the jumpers along with a mini cardigan version for girls to use for our Christmas fashion series. The cashmere, as always is soft with just the right amount of dazzle from the sequins to make this jumper not only ideal for Christmas but also a versatile day or evening item for the wardrobe. For the photos, Georgie teamed the jumper with a sequinned pencil skirt and some faux leather trousers. It also works well with jeans for a more casual look.
Georgie asked her goddaughter if she would be willing to try the navy cardigan with gold sequin elbow patches and gold thread detailing (she loves dressing up so she jumped at the chance!). It looks so adorable and compliments the women’s navy jumper version perfectly (you can purchase the women’s jumper here and the girls’ cardigan will be available in the New Year as part of the new childrenswear collection Wyse London is launching, priced at £65.00).
We love Marielle’s passion for making sure the designs for her Wyse London collections are always eye-catching without being over the top. The quality of the cashmere means it washes well – her top tip is to wash on a wool wash, no higher than 30 degrees and to use Johnson’s Baby Shampoo as it is gentle and works well with making sure the cashmere stays soft.
We can’t wait to see what she brings to the label in the New Year. In the meantime, you can see more of the designs on the Wyse London website – there is sure to be something which catches your eye!
