Around the World with Mouk comes from the creator of The Great House Hunt, Marc Boutavant (reviewed here). The bright colours and comic style narrative echo the House Hunt layout.
In this story, Mouk decides to travel around the world to meet old friends and make new ones. On each page is a different country with a letter from Mouk, to his friends describing where he is.
The illustrations are bright and attractive. Harry loves that there is so much going on within each page. He asks so many questions and engages with his book with a lovely enthusiasm.
The pages have a shiny finish and there are reusable stickers included. We have not used these yet as Harry is still engrossed in the story. He loves the page where Mouk visits Greece as we went to Greece last summer so he can relate to Mouk’s visit.
This is a charming, bright book which is beautiful to look at.
