It does what it says on the tin, as they say… The Mini Edit is an online kids concept store selling their edit of cool and contemporary kids fashion and toys. Included on the site are brands such as Être Petite, Fanny and Alexander, Stella McCartney Kids and Minna Parikka. Launched in July 2015 the aim of the design-led offering is to “produce beautiful editorial content, starting a conversation with… customers which reaches well beyond the product available on site”. This they have most definitely done. Just take a look at the site – beautiful products and imagery to die for.
Go on over and take a look for yourselves. But before you do, we thought we would put together a few of ours (and the minis’) favourite pieces…
TOYS, GIFTS & ACCESSORIES
- FANNY AND ALEXANDER NATURAL WOODEN FILM CAMERA £45 – a beautiful handcrafted wooden toy film camera made from Guatambu and Incense wood. This was Harry’s favourite pick from the launch day.
- PENNY PINK 22″ COMPLETE BOARD £90 – one of a number of cool designs available.
- SONS AND DAUGHTERS BLUE CLARK SUNGLASSES £60 – a new brand to us, these Sons and Daughters sunglasses were a huge hit with all the little ones at the launch. Particularly the noughts and cross design at 4. below. Premium acetate frames with spring hinges and high clarity 100% UVA/B protection lenses. The age suitability says from 5, but they fit Harriet (aged 3 1/2) perfectly well.
- SONS AND DAUGHTERS WHITE XO SUNGLASSES £65 – see more details above.
- POP CUTIE DONUT NECKLACE £12 – this design is a pink donut pendant, though there are lots of different designs to choose from – coloured popcorn, ice cream cones and cupcakes. They were all a big hit with Harriet.
FASHION
- ÊTRE PETITE PINK LIPS SWEAT £40 – A gorgeous crew neck pink sweatshirt with all over red lips print.
- NOÉ & ZOË PINK STAR BABYGROW £30 – This brand is already one of our favourites (and we have featured in a past post) fun and bright 100% organic cotton ong-sleeved baby grow.
- ATELIER CHILD PINK LEOPARD BLANKET £120 – From the newly launched brand, this Winter weight luxury jacquard knit cashmere blend blanket is dreamy. A perfect gift for any contemporary mum.
- SOMEDAY SOON NAVY FOIL TEXT SWEAT £50 – Navy crew neck sweatshirt imprinted with metallic rose wording ‘Someday soon I will change the world’. A great sweatshirt, that looked even better in the flesh.
A couple of other brands that we know are due to land at The Mini Edit soon are Tiba + Marl – some of the most gorgeous changing bags we have seen in a long time. So cool in fact, we’re not convinced that you need the excuse of having a baby to buy one! And also, one of our long-time favourites The Bright Company – fabulous unisex sleepwear and bedding made up of strong colours and graphic prints to make bedtime (and any other time for that matter) far more fun for minis.
