As we head into a new year, we inevitably think of new beginnings and as part of that, if we’re lucky, comes the celebration of new life. I always adore searching for gifts to welcome a baby into the world and here are a few of my current favourites that I’d like to share with you.
1. Arne Jacobsen Design Letter Wooden Number Blocks £42.00 – this set of 9 blocks based on Arne Jacobsen’s vintage numbers are a decorative addition to a nursery as well as being a practical gift helping minis to learn as they get older. Available in pink and turquoise.

For a moment you won’t realise that they aren’t real flowers!
4. Marie Chantal Angel Wing babygrow £49.00 – comes in a variety of options and colours and beautifully boxed. A real keepsake item of clothing for special occasions.
5. One of the books that I can’t resist for minis is £5.61 – I love Helen Oxenbury’s illustrations and the poem in this story celebrates babies all around the world. This was the first book that Harriet really started to interact with when we read it at bedtime. She would start to wriggle her fingers and toes with me as the verse “each of these babies… had ten little fingers and ten little toes” is repeated.
6. Janet and Allan Ahlberg remain a firm family favourite and and still don’t disappoint all these years later. Both £5.24.
7. Olivier Baby New Born Accessory Set £70.00 – a 100% cashmere set in cream. Other colours available upon request. The cashmere is beautiful and I can tell you it washes wonderfully well too, which always a bonus with minis.
8. Jonathan Adler Elephant Piggy Bank currently in the sale at £51.50 this ceramic piggy bank reflects the designers quirky retro style which we love here at minis & more, so we couldn’t resist sharing it. Available in pastel pink and blue.

Biscuiteers biscuits £38.50 – These delicious and beautifully biscuits will be a godsend for new parents when they get home and have the inevitable stream of visitors in those first few days.
