We find it is not only the kids getting used to going back to school after a long summer break. Us mums also have to get back into the swing of things and so we thought we’d share some items which make our lives a bit easier as we enter into the Autumn term.

Its dewy but not greasy and is great for applying quickly in the morning so as not to scare the other kids at the school gate with a complete absence of makeup! The only downside is the lack of different shades.

5. The 13″ Batchel with magnetic closure by The Cambridge Satchel Company £135.00 – satchels are just for the kids. How gorgeous is this colour? If it’s not for you, there are a multitude of colours to choose from. If Dad is doing the school run maybe a simple black Batchel is the perfect accessory for him, available at The British Library shop.
6. Travel mug by Omm Design £12.50 – a coffee to go in this stylish design by Ingela P Arrhenius.
7. Hair thickening spray by Bouffe £5.99 – Georgie loves this to not only give volume but it hides any sneaky grey hairs which may come through! It comes in a variety of shades to suit most hair types.
8. Hairbands by Invisibobble £3.75 – perfect for a quick ponytail as the blow-dry goes out of the window as mum duties call.
9. White Lomo’Instant Camera by Lomography at The mini edit £90.00 – capture the first day at school with this cute, slightly retro camera.
