Mini Rodini Explorer range for AW15

We have already looked at what Mini Rodini have to offer this Autumn/Winter with their first drop but looking at what is arriving tomorrow, it only gets better! The pieces from the Mini Rodini Explorer range consist of adorable winter clothing from hats and booties to snowsuits and stroller footmuffs. Each piece is available in a variety of their prints meaning you can mix and match or keep it simple with one print. With these clothes on offer, we don’t mind if Winter comes a bit early!

Continuing with Mini Rodini’s strive to produce clothing which not only enables the kids to have fun and inspire them, these pieces have been created with an ethical ideology as explained by Mini Rodini:

“All of our outwear has the water-repellent coating BIONIC-FINISH® ECO.  In most water-repellent coatings on the market today the use of fluorocarbons is a rule rather than an exception. Fluorocarbons are a harmful group of chemical substances that break down very slowly in nature. They are easily spread through air and waterways and can nowadays be found worldwide in nature and in our human bodies. The fluorocarbons also impair reproductive ability and are suspected to cause cancer. BIONIC-FINISH® ECO is made with an alternative technique and is completely fluorocarbon-free, a key to Mini Rodini.”
Below is just a selection of the pieces we have our eyes on. What has caught your eye?

Back to school kids’ essentials

Well, autumn (?!?) term is almost upon us. As we prepare for the kids’ back to school routine to shock us back into military precision timing to get them out of the door on time for the school bell, we take a look at some pieces which may come in useful for making “back to school” a bit more fun.

back to school kids essentials1. Hat €19.95 by Molo – this design draws its influence from streetwear and superheroes so your little one can feel like they can achieve anything.

2. Crown by Oeuf at Scout & Co £32.00 – this gorgeous knitted crown can double up as an ear warmer.

3. Fingerless gloves by Bijoux Boutique £8.50 – kids don’t want mittens or gloves to get in the way of exploring and these fingerless gloves provide another option.

4. Kissing hedgehogs pencil case by Anorak £6.00 and pencil set £8.00 – bold prints and strong colours make this set fun for kids. Pair with Psychology of Colour pencil set at Snowden Flood £18.00 – empowering words feature on these colouring pencils to inspire your little one.

5. Reflective star by Molo €3.95 – a brilliant little accessory to hang off your child’s bag (see our previous post for school bag inspiration).

6. Snood by Olivier Baby £28.00 – other colours should appear as autumn sets in. Both Harry and Harriet have one and they are so soft and cosy as well as being less annoying than a scarf.

7. Navy herringbone coat by Elks of Ireland €238.00 – pricey but a true classic. The quality is so beautiful, we couldn’t resist putting it in the post. Definitely an item to treasure.

8. Glasses by Zoobug £54.00 – should your mini need glasses, Zoobug have a range of frames to suit everyone.

9. Detangling brush by Tangle Teezer £12.99 – running out the house with no time to spare? Keep on of these in your handbag or car (as Georgie does) to tidy up the kids’ hair at the school gate.

10. Lunch box by Yumbox £24.95 – helps you to think of more than just a sandwich for their lunch.

11. Navy Nat shoe £52.00 and black Emme shoe £45.00 by Plae – these shoes are new to the UK (see their UK website for stockists) and the quality is fabulous for little feet. Your mini can even customise their pair with interchangeable tabs. There will be more on this brand soon!

12. Swimming trunks £42.00 and girls’ top £20.00 and bottoms £30.00 by Beanie & Bear – perfect for swimming lessons. Well made with added fun through the neon detailing (see our post on Beanie & Bear here).

Kids’ AW15 fashion trends | Metallics

As we have been taking a look at what is coming out in the way of kids’ Autumn/Winter 2015 fashion we have found there are a few distinct trends due to be big this season. The first one we are taking a look at is metallics, be it silver, bronze, copper or gold. It’s the minis’ chance to shine against any grey skies which may make an appearance as autumn creeps in.

metallics kids' fashion AW151. Kat Copper Dazzle sunglasses by Zoobug £55.00 – just a touch of metallic with these stylish sunglasses from the brand who makes wearing glasses cool. The frames can also be used as prescription glasses.

The quality is excellent and when she saw this jacket at the Vida Kids PR showroom she was immediately drawn to it.

Mini Rodini AW15 collection

Mini Rodini is a Swedish brand known for their fun and quirky animal prints which have been inspired by a child’s ability to believe that anything is possible and a freedom to not have to blend in. As well as making sure the clothes are a joy for a child to wear, Mini Rodini also make sure that they adhere to environmental and ethical aspects when it comes to the production of their pieces.

The Mini Rodini AW15 new collection centres around the tale of The Jungle Book (a huge favourite in our households) and the exotic world of the Maharanis and Marharadjas in India. Tigers, monkeys and elephants play and stride across the clothing range enforcing a child’s sense of humour and unique ability to demonstrate style without the seriousness. Here are a few pieces from the new AW15 campaign.
