With Spring/Summer 2015 on the horizon, we start to crave for a peek of sunshine so we can throw off our winter coats and start to think about the new trends which we are all seeing as we flick through a magazine or surf the internet. We feel our wardrobes are ready to have some fresh life breathed into them, and a new season with new trends is the perfect opportunity to have some fun selecting a few new pieces ready for when the warmer weather appears.
One key piece we at minis and more have spotted is the shirtdress. We feel it is wearable and adaptable, especially for mums as it is a one-piece item which is quick to put on and easy to accessorise. Here are our top picks of shirt dresses for Spring/Summer 2015:
1. Lana shirt dress in Optic All Saints £98.00 – this dress is a smart choice for an evening out. The cut is beautiful. It is also available in “Midnight” but I think the paler shade works well as it could work for casual daytime if required.
2. Oversized grey shirt dress Whistles £140.00 – a perfect relaxed shirt dress for throwing on and heading out.
3. Cotton poplin khaki shirt dress Tomas Maier £330.00 – this not only ticks the shirt dress box in terms on Spring?Summer 2015 trends but it also ticks the military khaki trend box.
4. Monet chambray shirt dress Velvet by Graham & Spencer £142.50 – this a definite holiday shirt dress or if we are lucky to have the lovely weather we had last Summer it would be a definite go-to piece.
5. Blue acid wash denim shirt dress New Look £27.99 – a real bargain working the denim trend. Soft cotton denim make this a comfortable daytime shirt dress.
6. Sardinia shirt dress in Lemongrass Baukjen £54.00 – in the sale reduced from £109.00! The fresh pastel colour will work well in Spring/Summer. Especially with a bit of a tan!
You can team any of these shirt dresses with ankle boots, heels or sandals and some would even work with sneakers. They are a versatile wardrobe staple.
Do you have a favourite piece? We’d love to hear your thoughts.
