We’ve covered festival fashion for mums (see previous post) but now it’s the turn to see what our top picks are for the kids.

Boys

1. Tin Tin and Snowy T-shirt by The Tin Tin Shop £17.95 – Harry has the grey T-shirt with a neon orange Snowy and the cotton is so soft. We love the graphic print too!

2. Roll-up trousers by Mini Boden From £26.00 – warm weather is not guaranteed so these trousers which can be rolled up should the temperature rise are a good choice for Britain’s unpredictable weather.

3. Canvas pull-on trainers by mini Boden From £22.00 – easy and perfect for running about in.

4. Dinosaur necklace by A Mini Penny £18.00 at Cissy Wears – brilliant fun for your little festival-goer.

5. Blue sunglasses by Babiator £21.99 – these sunglasses are tough little things. Harry has a pair and they withstand drops and knocks as well as protecting delicate little eyes from the sun.

6. Grey “Hero” sweatshirt by Beau LOves Grey at Cissy Wears £21.60 (in sale) – we would love this in an adult size!

7. Yellow raincoat by Petit Bateau £63.00 – useful for any sudden downpours and a bright colour to help spot your little one in the crowd.

8. Navy wellington boots by Hunter £32.00 – good for wading through mud and splashing in puddles. The flexible sole makes walking and running about easy for kids.

9. Fox mask and tail dress up set by The Opposite of Far £29.75 for a child – its great fun seeing all the kids at a festival have fun and dress up. This is a fab set.

Girls

1. Printed dress by Gap £8.97 (in sale) – this soft jersey dress will be cool nd comfortable for a day out at a festival.

2. Peacock Reflective Polka Dots trainers by Converse £18.00 (in sale) – perfect footwear for a festival and the reflective dots are a bonus for when the sun sets.

3. Liberty bracelet by Merci Maman from £29.00 – charms can be chosen and personalised – if going to a festival, it may be an idea to have a contact number engraved on the back of a charm and your kid’s name on the front.

4. Cashmere Star cardigan by Olivier Baby from £54.00 – this super soft cardigan is perfect if the day should be cooler than expected. Harriet has been lucky enough to have a few of their cardigans over the years and they are great. A perfect investment piece of clothing. The cashmere is so soft and durable. And best of all, it washes so well.

5. Grey and silver fairy wings by Numero 74 £22.00 – what self respecting festival-going little girl would be without fairy wings?

6. Floral cat ear headband by Gap £3.99 (in sale) – a cute addition.

7. Parka coat by Zara £25.99 (in sale) – if rain decides to interrupt proceedings this will be ideal.

8. Yellow wellington boots by Aigle £29.00 – a fantastic bright pair of wellies in case there’s a case of more mud than grass. Harriet has a patterned pair by Aigle, and they are such a good make.

Added Extras

1. Star fleece blanket by Ikea £10.00 – a great price as they are sure to get dirty at a festival. They are perfect for making the wagon cosy and to keep the kids warm.

2. Foldable pull-along wagon by TecTake £51.99 – Georgie has the Toby Wagon All Terrain wagon £75.00 but if you want something which is neater to pack then this is a good, well-priced alternative. You can cart about all the bits and pieces you need or your little one can have a rest in it. The canopy helps come rain or shine.

3. Temporary tattoos with contact details by IdentTattoo £10.79 – last year Georgie wrote on Harry’s arm and used liquid plaster to seal it but the writing did smudge so these seem a better idea and perfect just in case your little one wonders off.

4. Woodland Leaves Picnic Blanket by Anorak £36.00 – we have featured an Anorak picnic blanket before in our Staycation must haves post. A picnic blanket is something which should live permanently in your car ready for good weather. This blanket has a fun bright pattern and would look lovely paired with the Anorak Kissing Squirrels Coolbag £38.00. Georgie has the Kissing Rabbits set and the blanket is used often and washes well whilst the coolbag is huge and has been used as a beach bag and general carry-all bag.

5. Baby pouch by Rockin’ Baby £59.00 – perfect for carrying the little one so they can feel part of the action or simply have a snooze close to Mummy or Daddy.

6. Travel potty by Potette £14.95 – already featured in our Staycation packing post; this is a necessity when in the middle of a field with a little one desperate for the loo.

7. Hand Sanitiser by Organic Children £9.95 – a staple in our bags already this is a definite must along with their sunscreen for children which is fantastic for sensitive skin. We were sent some to try and have now re-purchased as it has been great on Harry’s sensitive skin. Georgie always has it in her changing bag – have a peek inside her changing bag in our latest YouTube video here.

8. Ear defenders by Edz Kidz £10.95 – Harry and Teddy had these last year when we went to a festival and Harriet has been wearing them since she was a baby. They are fantastic. Teddy even falls fast asleep wearing them!

We hope you get to experience a festival with your kids – it’s great fun and such an experience.
