Merci Maman jewellery

Translated as “Thank you Mum”, Merci Maman was created as a brand designing personalised jewellery to allow mothers to keep their loved ones close. Designing unique hand crafted, hand engraved jewellery at their London based studio, Merci Maman take inspiration from their French roots and create sentimental pieces using elegant French cursive handwriting when personalising their jewellery.

Being personalised, you can design your own piece of jewellery tailored specifically to your tastes. You are able to record a special message, an important date or a loved one’s name for example. The possibilities are endless.

Katie first came across the brand many years ago, when a chance meeting on holiday led her to noticing a mothers personalised necklace with engraved boy and girl figures on a chain. Since then, she sought out the brand, and waited (quite a few more years) until having her own daughter and eventually purchasing a similar necklace. One of the pieces Katie and Georgie both own are similar and are called The Duchess Necklace (due to it now being made for, and worn by, The Duchess of Cambridge).

We were lucky enough to be gifted some items of our choice by Merci Maman and are so pleased with them that they have now become daily additions to our wardrobes.

Katie chose the Italian Leather Wrap Bracelet in Silver featuring a disc engraved with the words “Shoot for the moon” taken from the poplar Norman Vincent Peale quote, a girl figure to symbolise her daughter and a small heart engraved with her daughter’s initial. 

And Georgie chose the Royal Necklace being made up of two boy figures for her sons, a locket engraved with the wording “my boys” and a small heart charm engraved with her husbands initial. She also chose a silver personalised necklace with a small initialled disc charm so that she could layer the pieces together.

Merci Maman are more than happy to add to or amend the designs which they have on their website. This means that you can make your jewellery choice even more personal to you. For example, Georgie asked if The Royal Necklace could have a mixture of gold and silver charms and replaced the simple charm disc with a locket for photographs of her sons.
