The By Terry Ombre Blackstar eyeshadow sticks have been around for a while now – years in fact. I bought a couple when they first came out as easily transportable eyeshadows to apply in a hurry when I arrived at the office when I was a commuter. I loved these eyeshadows then and I still love them. I try others but I do tend to go back to these. They are perfect for makeup on the go so now I am a fully fledged full-time mum I find them perfect for when I have to get out of the house in a hurry. I have received many complement when wearing them. The colours are fabulous and very wearable.

They come in a variety of colours and I have a selection of some of them. Once they have been applied they can be blended easily and I often use two at a time and blend them. The colour really does last all day. When I’m taking Harry to nursery they get applied at 7am and are still in place when I go to wash my face before bed.

They all have an metallic finish which I have tried to capture in the swatches below. I use the paler colours all over the eyelid and the darker shades in the socket and as a liner – they are brilliant multitaskers and if you’re in a rush it means you don’t have to rummage around your make-up bag for numerous products.

They have been repeat purchases which, for someone who LOVES makeup and trying out new products is a big deal. The colours next on my list to try are Brown Perfection and Ombre Mercure. They are available at Space NK. Do you have make-up favourites you keep going back to?
