A while back, I wrote an introduction for Organic Babies skincare. I was sent a few products to try. As Harry’s skin is so sensitive, it is tricky to find products which he can tolerate. I had high hopes for this brand as we do not have many options out there and we tend to have to use products which are least reactionary to Harry’s skin, rather than any which actually make a positive difference. Below is our review of the products plus a giveaway to try these Organic Babies products for yourself.
We have been trialling these Organic Babies products for a good few months now and I can, hand on heart, say they are the best brand I have come across for Harry’s skin. Teddy’s skin is much more resilient but it is still good to know that the products I am using on him are mostly organic and completely natural.
Baby Wash and Shampoo – Scent Free
Since I started using this, I have purchased several tubes to have them at the ready as I don’t ever want to be in a position where it has run out! Harry can finally have bubbles in his bath (it does not create masses of bubbles as it is a natural product and foaming agents are not great for the skin). When it says it is scent free, it really does not have a scent at all so if you like a bit of something, Organic Babies do have scented varieties. I had a tester of their Citrus Burst Shampoo and Harry did not react to it when I used it on him and it has a lovely scent which is not overpowering. I love the fact this is a body wash and shampoo as it is less to pack when going away. I took the sample size I had on a short break and Harry, in his excitement emptied the whole tube into the bath in one go. I couldn’t find a replacement and had to use a well known baby brand which made Harry’s legs itch like crazy…hence the stocking up now!
Oh my goodness! This has been the biggest hit. Again, I have stockpiled tubes of this as I NEVER want to be without it. I use it as an all over daily moisturiser for Harry and occasionally on Teddy. Since using this Harry’s legs are in the best condition they have been in, in a long while. He still gets eczema breakouts (especially as the weather is getting better and he’s playing in sandpits more which does aggravate his skin) but this salve really helps calm the itching down and reduces the sore patches. I have found it to be much more effective than his prescription cream – we have been using Epaderm since Harry was tiny. It is greasy but that makes it easy to apply on a toddler who has no time to stand still when there are toys to be played with. I wasn’t sure if the lavender scent would react with Harry but it hasn’t and smells calming which can only be a good thing when applied after his nighttime bath. I also carry a tube in my bag in case we are out and about and his hands, arms or legs get itchy. On Teddy, I tend to use it as a nappy rash cream and barrier and it has done a good job at calming redness down and again the pleasant smell is relaxing. A real winner.
This is a permanent handbag fixture. I use it on the kids hands (as well as mine) and have used it many times to wipe down a surface – I squirt some onto the surface and wipe with a napkin. This is handy as Teddy tends to like to feed himself so food always ends up on a surface and then after he’s finished eating I use it to clean up. It has also come in useful to clean a less than sanitary looking highchair (why do some parents leave highchairs in such a state??). With some sanitisers, Harry’s skin has become sore, but so far, so good.
Although I was gifted the above products these thoughts in this review are completely my own and as I have tested them with Harry and Teddy for a few months I feel I can offer a true opinion of the results.

I’d like to try the body wash and shampoo for my little girls!
The Sticky hands sanitizer – my daughter loves playing with the most unhygienic stuff she can find (shoes, buggy board…). So difficult to keep her hands clean and hygienic…
