Staycation packing for mums

In one of our previous posts we covered what we will be packing for the kids on an upcoming staycation in Devon. Now it is the turn of mum’s fashion on a  staycation holiday and what we will be packing in our cases, come rain or shine.

For sunshine and blue skies

From the left hand side:

Blue patterned maxi dress by Hush £55.00 – this loose, floaty dress is perfect as a casual, relaxed daywear piece to keep you cool.

Face (£14.95) and body (£18.95) sunscreen by Green People – we have already mentioned this in our festival fashion for mums post but it is also a feature here ready for when the sun makes an appearance. The cream is non-greasy which is a huge bonus in our book.

Colour block bikini (£53.00) with high-waisted black bottoms (£33.59) and aqua shorts (£25.19) by Seafolly – we find it tricky to find swimwear to suit us but Seafolly always seems to have something which helps to flatter your body shape, whatever it may be.

Gladiator sandals by Ancient Greek Sandals – comfortable for everyday wear but the gold wings on the sides make them that bit different.

Grecian top by Hush £35.00 – this loose top is so comfortable in hot weather and goes with so much. The bright colour adds some summer fun.

Black shorts by New Look £14.99 – these shorts have small little black pom moms on the hem which make them a cute alternative to plain black shorts. They are cotton so perfect for staycation sun!

Grey linen T-shirt by Hush £35.00 – this T-shirt has already become a firm staple in our wardrobe as it is easy to throw on and add jewellery to so as to liven up a classic T-shirt.

Denim shorts by Hush £45.00 – as you may already be guessing we love Hush and can always find pieces to tempt us. We have mentioned these shorts a couple of times before. We like the dipped hem at the back and that the denim is soft so comfortable to wear out and about.

Panama Hat – find similar featured in our festival fashion for mums post – this was a gift from Georgie’s parents and works with both casual and slightly dressy outfits. A well worn summer item.

Gold sandals by Salt-water sandals £55.00 – we have dedicated a post to these fabulous sandals. Perfect for summer holidays as they can be worn in the sea and can even be washed in the washing machine.

Patterned jumpsuit by Baukjen £106.00 – so easy to wear and in soft jersey to keep you cool and comfortable.

Should the odd shower make and appearance

From top left:

Grey cashmere jumper with gold stitching detail by Wyse London £140.00 – we featured the rainbow jumper from Wyse London in our festival fashion for mums post. The cashmere is a lovely quality and the designs are perfect for those looking for a cashmere jumper which has thought put into its style and shape.

Mother sweatshirt by Selfish Mother £45.00 – mentioned in our Sweatshirts post, Georgie finally got round to getting one. It is super wearable and promotes a charitable cause.

Boyfriend jeans by New Look £24.99 – New Look denim is fantastic for its price. Georgie lives in denim from there, her favourites being these boyfriend ones and the high waisted skinny style (perfect when having to constantly bend dow to pick up Teddy).

Parka coat by Penfield £165.00 – this coat is lightweight made from a cotton Nylon mix making it water repellent which may be necessary should rain fall. It offers a stylish solution to erratic British weather.

Cross-stitch by Pearl and Earl £60.00 – just in case we are stuck inside we might as well be productive! This “Wham” design is bright and colourful and is meant to be suited to beginners (that would be us then!).

Kindle by Amazon – perfect if you love reading. We find them invaluable as we both have problems getting to sleep so you can read a book in the dark without disturbing your other half.

Gold brogues £115.00 – very soft leather and a cross between a brogue and a trainer to brighten up an outfit.

Stan Smith white trainers by Adidas £65.00 – really comfortable and perfect for running about with the kids.

Scarf by Mint Velvet – this was a purchase from last year but similar can be found here. In case it gets a bit chilly as we head out.

Striped jumper by Hush £65.00 – soft and a simple summer style (as seen in our Breton Stripes post).

Harem trousers by Hush £49.50 – a stylish version of jogging bottoms. Soft jersey and so, so easy to wear.

Now to sort out our skincare and beauty staycation must haves!
